So we're going to spin the wheel tonight and see what we get with a 'downwinder' (we're expecting pretty flat water, possibly in a little tail-wind / cross-wind / maybe no wind / or even a knot of headwind depending which forecast you believe? But definitely a down-tider!) Meeting from 6pm for a (prompt) 6.20pm launch from Chalkwell, we'll be paddling c. 7km reasonably fast down to Uncle Tom's Cabin on the point at Shoebury. Then jumping straight into cabs to go back and get vehicles, get changed, drive back and pack up, before reconvening at The Shorehouse for a pint and a nice hot dinner. Although we could strike lucky, there are rain / maybe even snow showers about so definitely wrap up warm as temperatures are still in single figures...
