Party: RAINTOWN "THE WRITING ON THE WALL TOUR" WITH SUPPORT BY DEXTER

8 awards in 3 years, the only act to perform at all three mega-successful Country2Country festivals at London’s O2 Arena and the first act to sell out the Brooklyn Bowl (London), multi-award winning duo ‘Raintown’ are fast gaining the reputation as one of the hottest Country acts in Europe. This October, with a full band, they will bring their signature take on modern Country to venues throughout the UK, touring in support of their highly anticipated new album, ‘Writing on the Wall.’ Raintown’s live performances have been igniting stages and gaining positive reaction both internationally and here in the UK. They recently wowed a capacity crowd at the ‘Brooklyn Bowl’ – for the second year running - with a stunning set during the Country2Country festival, before performing, as Jo Whiley commented, ‘ a wonderful’ live acoustic session for BBC Radio 2 Country,’ hosted by Bob Harris, Jo Whiley and Baylen Leonard. “They are another UK band who are on everybody’s lips - everyone’s talking about Raintown,” commented Baylen Leonard, from BBC Radio 2 Country and Amazing Radio. Allan Watkiss of BBC Radio Sheffield said, “Raintown are just what the UK country scene needs.” In addition, Al Perkins from ‘Up Country’ magazine wrote, “They have only been together a short time....the Glasgow based duo have moved from being newcomers to one of Britain’s leading bands.” Raintown are recently married couple, Paul Bain and Claire McArthur-Bain, who fuse their passion for Country Music with their eclectic musical influences. The result is an ever increasing catalogue of original songs and music that easily stands up against their counterparts in Nashville. They are an impressive duo who continue the tradition of exciting new music to emerge from Glasgow and who are cementing their place as one of the UK’s leading ‘new breed’ of Country acts. This is a duo that loves Country Music – has a great relationship with their audiences - and knows how to have a Country Rockin’ good time! They commented, “We are so excited to take this new music out on the road and give people an amazing night of original UK Country.”
