Join us at The Alex Surf Club on Wednesday 23rd August for our Sit Down Comedy Club event featuring Dilruk Jayasinha & Kat Davidson!

Hailing from Sri Lanka, Dilruk relocated to Melbourne to attend university. Having completed a degree in accounting, he started working for one of the "Big Four." However, after performing at an open mic night in 2010, that all changed. In a bittersweet turn of events, Dil was unceremoniously fired from his accounting job at the same time his comedy career was taking shape. Just as Dil had, it turns out his managers had noticed that his heart lay elsewhere.

Dil is now a regular on the comedy scene around Australia and with a reputation for consistently nailing his shows, Dil has been invited to perform internationally. So far in 2017, he’s returned for his seventh Melbourne International Comedy Festival with hit show, ‘The Art of The Dil’, made regular appearances to the smash-hit prime time show ‘Have You Been Paying Attention?’, joined the cast of Working Dog’s ‘Utopia’ for their upcoming third season and recently been announced as a Team Captain on Network Ten’s upcoming new game show ‘CRAM’!

Joining Dilruk is the amazing Kat Davidson! Equally at home in a corporate venue or a room full of hens and bucks, Kat brings a fresh and intelligent view to her comedy. She tackles relationships, observations and random events with equal passion and her unique storytelling ability takes her audience along with her for the ride.

Kat has been a professional improviser since 1993, hosted Gala Events, coached blue chip companies in communication and worked a crowd from the back of a cattle truck. Occasionally, all at the same time! She can be heard regularly across Queensland ABC radio and has headlined the best clubs in Australia and Canada. She is also the co-producer of the highly successful Ladies Comedy Nights in Brisbane, can regularly be found at sea performing for huge crowds on P&O Cruise ships and enjoyed a sell-out season of her original show Untidy at the 2012 Brisbane Comedy Festival.
