Paisley Silat Club was established in January 2013 to provide an environment where like minded individuals could learn, train, develop, share their knowledge and grow within the many aspects of the multitude of systems, styles, and arts covered by the term "Silat".
It is our intention to continue our journey by actively seeking out, training with, and learning from those with greater knowledge, understanding, and experience than ourselves.
Classes are suitable for all levels of fitness and experience. Your training will follow a tried and tested progression starting with basic posture and movement, moving on to simultaneous defence/counter attack, working up to weapons awareness within a multiple attack scenario. (solo training between classes is essential to ingrain correct movement, and to train your body to move in a particular way) Small group numbers mean we can tailor every class to suit each individual's needs
We like to train in a relaxed, informal environment so wear whatever you feel comfortable training in. (just make sure your trainers are clean)
Beginners are always welcome
We currently have classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30
