The After Hours.

Through a music ad put out by Cecile, they started meeting there to play the songs, a mix of Cecile Lemaire and Paul Garry's own material. Musical sparks flew, via wine and singing together and by playing each other songs they soon co-wrote 'An Ocean From You'. This was not before, a blast from the past, Dave Scaratt on Drums, and Kate Fox on Violin joined us, completing the band.
Not being young and with no prospects, it was hard to get together, and with the absence of 'getting together' being around 6 months we were gifted the chance to record a song 'live' at a Bristol studio.

So....they met again to do that recording 'An Ocean From You', currently the only song on this website to excite your taste buds. To support the recording they decided to play a one off show at The Fringe where we played 3 original songs and a cover of Blue Moon to a packed house! Whilst rehearsing for this show they needed a bass player, so Dave introduced us to Ben Meredith who brought his love for reggae to his love for folk. After a session or two Ben suggested we bring his friend Steve Lacey into the mix, so Steve also joined playing mandolin, harmonica and sharing harmonies.
And this is the Birth of The After Hours…
So far they haven't fallen out and seem to love the tunes...

Holly Wellington

Expect stripped-back neo-soul grooves from this hip young duo.
Bristol’s freshest talent, groove-laden jazz virtuoso guitarist Alun Elliot-Williams complements perfectly, the jazz-meets-R’n'B vocals of Holly Wellington, who you may have already caught with Bristol’s very own Feelgood Experiment.
