Mayo-born harpist/singer/songwriter Lisa Canny returns to Dolans Jan 15th for an intimate gig, before heading off on a 4-month tour of the U.S. Lisa’s debut single “Lifeline” was launched here in Dolans in May 2015 and went on to be a Top Ten hit in the Irish charts! Since then Lisa and band have been working on perfecting their unique sound, one that has been compared to a wide range of folk and soul artists, including Sinead O’Connor, Kate Bush, Hozier, and even Burt Bacharach. With 7 All-Ireland titles to her name on harp and banjo, expect elements of traditional Irish music flowing through her heavily rhythmic based, soulful sound.
