Watch Out Worcester is a new free event for the city.
Theatre, dance, music, spoken word and visual arts in outdoor and unusual spaces, created and performed by local and visiting artists and companies.
Popping up at The Hive will be infuseDANCE’s Bodyguards - Protect and Serve, a team of highly trained dancing bodyguards in a fun filled interactive performance
Also performing at The Hive will be Flexus Dance Company, Dancefest's youth dance companies and Emily May Dance Theatre.
Watch Out Worcester takes place on the opening day of the Three Choirs Festival and as part of both events, at around 3pm, you can see a short dance performance in the riverside setting of Worcester Cathedral's west garden.
At St Swithun's Church, Worcestershire Resource Exchange (part of the Duckworth Worcestershire Trust) will be creating an installation piece entitled 'Portal' made from thousands of paper feathers, all individually cut and made from reclaimed materials.
Worcester-born DJ Ed Steelefox will mix a musical response to the incredible space to create a thoughtful and reflective soundtrack to the coming-and-goings of the visitors and special guests.
Also at St Swithun's will be singer songwriter Shiraz Hempstock, and poet, writer and performer, Suz Winspear, who was Worcestershire Poet Laureate 2016-17. Suz will bring a range of poets to perform during the afternoon, presenting poetry in new and unexpected ways, and maybe helping visitors to find the poet within themselves.
Vamos Theatre's Midwives on Call and Dancefest's Quiet Revolution will be appearing around Angel Place and outside the Guildhall.
Also performing in different spaces around the city centre will be enCompass Collective, Dancefest's DFA and Chance to Dance Company and dance artist Lauren Trim with The Blue Dive.
There will also be new theatre pieces at Worcester Arts Workshop commissioned by Jumpstart especially for the day.
And it's all free!
