Croome, Worcestershire, WR8 9DW
Dancefest is working in partnership with the National Trust at Croome to produce Vista, a community dance performance that aims to bring to life the landscape created by 'Capability' Brown, involving dancers of all ages from both established Dancefest groups and as part of special projects, which you can join to be part of this extraordinary event.
The performances will take place in a variety of spaces throughout the parkland, animating the landscape in short pop up dances inspired by ‘Capability’ Brown’s 'eye-catchers' which draw the eye near and far.
Six choreographers and around 100 community dancers aged from 5 to 55+ will create new dance, drawing inspiration from this well loved heritage site, from its history, its design and from nature.
The performances start at 2pm on Croome’s Church Hill. Visitors will be given a 'dance walk' map and are then free to travel to different performances along the walk; around the lakeside and its many temples, and to follies such as the Island Pavilion, the Temple Greenhouse and the Rotunda.
You can find out more at http://www.dancefest.co.uk/performances/vista
The performance is included in the entry fee to Croome and is therefore free for National Trust members.
