A Montreal group dedicated to exploring works by innovative composer/improvisors of the 1960s, including Thelonious Monk, Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson, and Herbie Hancock, artists whose debut recordings were released on the emblematic Blue Note record label. Saturated Blue are Montreal-based musicians who have developed individual voices of their own, brought together through their love of the music. They endeavour to say something new while paying tribute to some of the giant figures in jazz.
