Army selection

2: Armoured platoons are not permitted at this event.
3: The new, optional rules for aircraft are not permitted. Armies may include a forward air observer as normal.
4: Named characters and war reporters are not permitted.
5: If an army contains more than one platoon, they must be chosen from the same army list and selector.
6: Vehicle flamethrowers are not permitted.
7: Armies may be chosen using the generic platoon selector or any of the historical theatre selectors from any of the available army lists (see below).
Armies of Germany
Armies of the United States
Armies of Great Britain
Armies of the Soviet Union
Armies of Imperial Japan
Armies of France and the Allies
Armies of Italy and the Axis
Armies of China (pdf available from the Warlord website)
What you need to bring
Tape Measure
2 copies of their army list, one for themselves and one for the organisers.
A copy of the Bolt Action rulebook and their relevant "Armies of" list (electronic copies are perfectly acceptable).
Dice
Sufficient order dice for their army, new or old style are acceptable
Some glue in case you break your toys
Grid House rules
Whilst we were tempted to neuter flame throwers we have decided to no permit vehicle flame throwers instead, they are a bad part of the game in our eyes and make for a rather unpleasant experience for people. The rules for man packed flame throwers shall remain unchanged.
Dense Area Terrain:- Before the game players must designate what each piece of terrain is going to be during that game. Any woods, bushes, shrubs etc on a clearly defined base can be designated as dense area terrain. Dense area terrain blocks line of sight for units wishing to draw line of sight through it, however any models that enter the area terrain may have line of sight drawn to it but can claim the benefits of cover as per the Bolt Action rule book.
Scoring
A Swiss tournament scoring system will be used, the tournament organisers will attempt to pair players up according to their faction in the first round i.e Axis v Allies this may or may not be possible depending on army composition on the day.
