Mad Zach combines sonic influences from hip-hop, glitch, dnb, and dub and trap, yet still remains unique in his own right. Zach releases his next EP, Fortress, on March 10th 2017 via Plasma Audio. Fortress is lead by single "Robovox," premiered by MixMag in February. The EP serves as a follow up to Quantum Shock, which featured collaborations from G Jones and Sayer as well as remixes from Bleep Bloop, Amp Live, Conrank, and Pixelord.

Mad Zach's live sets fuse the elements of controllerism, finger drumming, and DJing into one. He is set for a North American tour and an appearance at What the Festival in 2017, with more show dates to be announced soon. Zach is strongly endorsed by production tech companies Native Instruments and Ableton and his performance videos for them and predominant DJ blog, DJ Tech Tools, have garnered over 10 million views on YouTube.

::::: Um.. - 11:30 :::::

um.. consists of two Icon Collective graduates, Ben Bruce and Dylan Gold, who met while at school and started making music together in 2014. Making music comes easy to the two who share a belief that there is a creative void in the electronic music space their music can fill.

“We don’t want to follow an abused and over saturated path devoid of any creativity or evolution. We have found a direction that is new, fun and creatively unique, and have a strong collaborative workflow that comes naturally to us which we have found to be extremely rare. We have established a sound and brand that we believe is wholly representative of us as people and that can be understood and appreciated by anyone”.

“This project has come together completely organically and we believe it is creatively innovative”.

um..’s first introduction to the public came in December of 2014 with their remix offering of much-hyped producer Awe’s “Griffin” being included in LA powerhouse collective Team Supreme’s Vol. 127 cypher. The guys were in great company grouped with Dubstep legend Plastician, King Henry, DJ Pound, Murphy, Lord Olaf, Rainoh Cee Ross, Yung Orca, Lost Midas, NuTrik Ruff Draft, and Nalepa. Since then, um.. released their debut EP Pay Attention via New York based label Study Group, which peaked at #2 on the Beatport Electronica Album Chart and #12 on the overall album chart. Additionally, they have collaborated with Los Angeles based collective Shifty Rhythms where their track “skrillex” was featured in their Volume Three Compilation.

“Our music has a playful feeling, while maintaining top level quality production, that’s refreshing in a time where producers take their music too seriously and sacrifice creativity for commercial sounding tracks. We are not interested in following any other artist’s path. We believe in creation without creative boundaries and we demonstrate that through our music. Without saying anything more, I think the music speaks for itself”, says the duo.

After a busy couple of years, including performances at NYC’s Webster Hall BASSment Saturday party, a midwest headline tour, LA’s Space Yacht and touring around the U.S., um.. is gearing up for an exciting year ahead. “The unique brand of music that comes from um.. is unlike anything I’ve heard before.” Says YourEDM.com, “There’s this weird magnetism that lies at the heart of every um.. track, and I can’t even begin to explain it.”

Methodically flooding the airwaves with sonically justified precision, the man behind the moniker DMVU stands at the decks of an unstoppable persona defined by unmistakable ingenuity. Calling Denver, Colorado home, his innovation laden sounds claim a constant state of bewilderment, leaving no question to his intrinsic skill as he deepens his groove as a major player in an international circuit. With tracks circulating across seas and finding their way into the playlists of names like Noisia and Boombox Cartel, he continues to receive praise from some of the top names in bass music.

Recently releasing a full Hip Hop EP with Ill Chill, the producer’s reaches seem to have no limits, nurturing a rapidly growing fan base with tastes just as large as his productions. Seeing collaborations with the likes of Emancipator and playing well matched alongside leading figures Hudson Mohawke and Truth, his involvement with respected labels Encrypted Audio and Deep Dark and Dangerous fuel an uncontainable flame.

Proliferating an impressive lineage of releases, his most recent addition, the ‘BLOCCD’ EP on Deep Dark and Dangerous stands as a true testament to a diversely adept artist’s deserved place as a gate-pushing contender within today’s expansive music scene. Prepared or not, the best from DMVU is coming for us when we least expect it.
