Austin, TX-based comedian Derek Phelps has performed as part of Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest, the Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival 2013 and 2014 and was a finalist in the 2012 2013, and 2014 Funniest Person In Austin Contests. Recently, he competed in the Boston Comedy Festival. As well, he produces a successful monthly live comedy game show called Laugh, Dammit!

In addition to doing stand-up, Derek also plays trumpet for Austin-based blues/funk/soul band Black Joe Lewis.
